Seven days-Seven dresses

It’s here at last.Today I’m happy to be celebrating the launch of the new dress collection at Stylistpick. To help with the launch I’ve been asked by stylistpick to choose seven dresses from their new collection to undertake a seven days, seven dresses challenge. You can see all my chosen looks updated live and daily on the stylistpick live feed here for the next seven days. Today I’m wearing this carnation blue print and white band dress by closet
Wearing a dress a day is very different to my usual attire as I rarely wear them on a day-to-day basis, that is until now! I have to say I’m a little bit smitten with this collection. It’s a great change and a perfect choice for summer. I thought this dress was to be my favourite but then I tried on the others and felt the same about everyone of them… All the dresses can be found online today on stylistpick.

Today I was wearing

Welsh pride awards

These are pictures from friday evening when I dressed up for the welsh pride awards.Decided to go with this long black baroque dress for the night. A few pics are from my instagram.I was there along with the girls from the tenovus cancer charity.Going back in the spring I had been involved in a donation campaign that went online and on posters in every tenovus charity shop window. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to source and style the models (the brilliant staff at tenovus) and help direct the shoot, which was a blast. Every piece of clothing used for the shoot came from actual tenovus charity shops.Everyone involved was wonderful and hard working. We actually won three awards on the night for our efforts. I was very proud to be part of such a great team. Thank you tenovus.

I’m wearing

Gucci shoes, River island dress.

London fashion week- Part two

Last day at London fashion week and it was great to see some fashions that I loved. It started with the Simone Rocha show which was just beautiful. Pretty skirts with lace paneling and a catwalk of feminine looks accomplished using stunning fabrics made for a huge cheer for the lady herself.(I’ll post the pics up from the show in a seperate post) Then it was over to the topshop show space for the Meadham and kirchhoff show-again I’ll post up later as I wanted to show you these pics from the Ashish show. It was my last show of the day and one of my favorites. I fell in love with the whole look. Super cool, fresh, young and full of attitude. Sun-kissed skin.Hair tied up in scrunchies, blue lashes and baby soft pink lips. Sequins on denim, glitter socks and reebok classics… what an awesome combination. The pictures I’ve taken are with my camera and Iphone, hence the variation in shots.I’ve still got lots of other great pics to post so keep watching. I’ve added the finale from the Ashish show here and below. Oh and another  highlight of the day was getting photographed for Elle Japan and topshop.

I wore

Zara lace dress.Isabel Marant boots. Givenchy clutch.

Acne Magenta Dress. Shoes/Miu Miu

Hardly a great summer we’re having here in the UK. Slipped on this gorgeous dress by Acne for the day,Love how that’s all I had to do to wear it. Slinky simplicity! Mind I hardly got out the door and the weather changed…. I did have a jacket to hand of course. Wishful thinking I could go out for the day dressed for summer. Love how the drapped back falls softly onto the hips and sits comfortably above the knee. A perfect little dress for daytime fun or an evening sipping cocktails…

light shine through

Vest, H&M.

Been wanting to wear this sheer silver vest since I bought it the last month but weather hasn’t permitted until now. I like it worn alone for it’s transparency as well as it’s peek through back and low-cut plunging underarm. Perfectly acceptable to layer it but I do like the simplicity of the shape when worn as one thin layer. I pulled out my blush scalloped shorts from last season H&M to wear with it and a little pair of white lace ups.
