Not been actively posting too much lately. It’s been a difficult start to the year. It’s hard to get focused when so much is going on. Having lost two members of my family in the short space of time and for lots of other things to go the complete opposite of the way you planned. Is hard to shift the mood. I’m not one to go to deep and personal on my social but this is real life and this is what we all face day to day. It’s never easy. And when you loose people in your family circle it takes time to adjust and refocus.
Throwing myself into fashion has always been a good way of coping for me. This time I did need a little head space before taking pics and posting blogs. I’m really looking forward to Spring and the long light nights of summer. I tried a few summer pieces on that I just couldn’t get in the mood for purely because of the bad weather we are still having here in the UK. It’s hard to try pretty tops and dresses on when it’s still so cold and miserable outside. It is such a good time to pick up pretty things for the summer wardrobe but like I said it can be hard to get your head into that place after such a long time wrapped up for winter.
So on another note this is my outfit from the weekend. Putting a few classics together for a laid back look. Classic black and gold with a suede mack worked pretty well for me. I love the high waist jeans too. Sometimes they can make you look bigger around the hips and belly but who cares really hahah. It’s all about being happy and dressing how you want. At the end of the day there are no rules as long as your happy tHat’s all that matters.
Happy New Year !! How’s your first week been..? I’ve found it really hard to get back into life after Christmas. It was such a lovely time. But it’s back to January and to save me from the blues I’ve been looking at a few new arrivals. Couldn’t resist the satin look. I bought it and wore it within 24 hours, that’s always a good sign. Nothing worse then buying something and it just sitting in your wardrobe for weeks/ months untouched.
I adore the vintage feel with its lace finishes and gorgeous gold colour. I put it on and felt okay about January .. even if it was just for a day. I wore it with these velvet rose detailed mules. Which I thought suited the look. These are one of my favourite additions from the sales. If you follow me over on Instagram you’ll know I was lusting after these for ages. I like the robe and slipper look I’ve achieved here. Something a little different and I think it’s a nice way to get ready for Spring Forever the hopeful … Ha ha
It’s that time of year again.A chance to grab a bargain for the christmas shop. Beauty products, beautiful accessories ans more. I’ve added lots of lovely links here to make things a little easier for you. I’ve so many favourites. Fingers crossed I get a few for Christmas.
Happy shopping guys xx Dawn
Slight obsession with the military loo this Autumn. It’s a pretty straight forward look but with gold buttons and knee high boots it can be a easy way to everyday chic. Having timeless pieces are always a good investment. Wearing or using something most days is value for money. I try to be good and not over buy. I really try not to buy things I love but would never wear. I’ve done so much of that in the past. It looks beautiful on the hanger or I love the idea of wearing it but the reality is it stays on the hanger I and it never becomes a piece I would be able to use or wear.
