COCOON COAT
29/04/2014

In love with this cocoon coat. Beautiful colour and easy to wear. It’s from the leading ladies collection for marks and spencer. I was lucky enough to get to choose a piece from the collection. Proved difficult as there were so many great pieces but this has to be my favourite along with a gorgeous vintage style cardigan that I spoilt myself with.
I’ve been throwing this coat over just about everything lately.. Put it here with mini skirt and shirt but I’ve also been wearing it with flats and my cut up denims. I’ll have to post pictures of that outfit later on. Summer is just around the corner but the days and nights are still chilly. So a great coat like this is still something I would invest in. I’m sure i’ll be wearing it going into next seasons A/W as well.

ROMANCIN’ THE DAY
16/04/2014

As you probably know these easy to wear cami slip on dresses are one of my favourite summer time looks. The night for day is still tops my to-wear list. The romantic idea of a silk and lace cami dress for a daytime look is always a winner for me. Guess I have an old fashioned take on love and romance and this kind of attire sparks a dream of just that. The romantic novel aside. They are great to wear with a sweater or simple denim jacket for an off duty look. Or just as nice plain and simple on it’s own with a pair of gorgeous shoes.
It’s a great staple dress for the wardrobe. I’ve put mine with heavy studded/jewelled sandals but it’s great with fancy flats and heels too.
I’m back doing the blog again after a few months of ups and downs. I’m getting back to feeling more myself now that all my children are well. I’m looking forward to a lovely summer filled with lots of laughter and good times with family and friends. What are your summer plans?

DENIM & LACE

I’ve always loved lace and I’ve always loved teaming it with other textures like leather and in this case denim. It’s a great way to style the look for night or day. In this case it makes the dress a little more wearable for the day. It’s a wear what you like and love era. Where there really aren’t any rules to wearing specific colours or textures. It’s great to just enjoy fashion your way.
It’s starting to warm a little so I’ve worn bare legs for the first time in a while…eerrr it’s horrible when your skin hasn’t seen daylight in ages and it needs a good few weeks of sunshine to make it look alive again. I always give myself a light coating of fake tan in the early months of spring/summer. It helps give a healthy glow.

NAVY,CREAM & RED
08/04/2014

Another week begins and the hunt for what to wear is off to a navy, cream and red start. Picked up these cream biker trousers recently from the usual high street suspect “Zara” What would we do with out this shop ?? I seem to have a ever growing wardrobe of the brand. I think I speak for lots of my female & male friends too. The only thing is, when you find something great, so does the rest of the world. Ha ha. I can sometimes get dressed and only realise when I’m out the door that I’m actually wearing head to toe Zara.
What have you guys been buying recently ? The summer is coming, so I hope you’ve been indulging in a few new season spoils.

My midweek attire had to cater for sunshine with a chill. The morning started with me stepping out in sandals but by midday it had fogged up and was cold enough for my faux fur coat. Not that I’m complaining. I’ve been looking for an excuse to wear it. I adore the cropped sleeve. Especially good for indulging in lots and lots of arm accessories. I love throwing on a great piece like this that completes an outfit. Endless use for both day and night. I wore it with some of my favourite pieces ripped up jeans, studded Isabel Marant sandals and fringe detailed top
