DAY & NIGHT
04/10/2013

A little mix of day & night pictures from my evening out at the cosmo blog awards. I snapped a few night time pictures which ended up capturing the colours and fabrics of the outfit better then the daytime shots. The Dolce & Gabbana dress is silky and glamorous and teaming it with the faux fur coat gives it a vintage hollywood feel. Finished the look with deep burgundy glossy nails and neat clutch. Glamorous detailing with high drama pieces of lace, satin, leather and fur.It was a lovely evening of vodka cocktails and champagne. Unfortunately I didn’t win an award this time, but I was more then thrilled to get shortlisted. They had 43,000 blog entries across the board. So to get to the last 10 in my category was a real achievement. Thanks again for all your lovely comments and for voting for me. Have a wonderful weekend.
Love Dawn xxx

I’ve been wearing one of my favourite autumn purchases again. This Isabel Marant skirt seems to be popping up on here time and time again. That’s the great thing about a piece like this. It can be worn a number of ways. I do love it when a piece of clothing becomes so versatile. My love for the berry colours is more then obvious. These autumn shades are so easy to mix with greys, pinky pastels and the warmer palettes of teal and black. They all come together to make a great autumnal wardrobe.Big knits are becoming a big deal for me too. Easy-to-wear,throw on over anything. I like it when a cardigan is bigger then anything else your wearing. The chunky knits are best for this. Thou I do love to wear my sleek acne cardigan as a dress. I tend to wear everything oversized in these styles. You can see how I wore my Isabel Marant skirt before here and here.

Took these pictures back at the end of august. Forgot to post them in the chaos of everything thats happened these last few weeks. It’s probably the last time I’ll get to wear my denim shorts. Well at least here in the UK. Unless I get lucky enough to get a holiday before the year is out then I’m sadly saying goodbye to a few of my summer pieces.
Obviously the silk cami is still wearable throughout the year layered under knitwear and coats. Can say I’m a little heady over these sparkling ballerina’s. Couldn’t resist them. I’m a sucker for footwear. I do love september and sometimes it’s a better month then August. There’s something about september days for me- it’s my favourite month of the year. I guess it’s the last month to hang out in the honey lit evenings. I’m most certainly a sunshine girl. Winter is not for me. I seem to whinge about being cold constantly. Though I do enjoy the winter fashions, I don’t excel in the field of heavy duty dressing.
I’ve been following all the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) pictures on the social networks and feeling pretty depressed at not being there. I got my first invite to new york this year but sadly couldn’t make it-still feeling sad about it. One of the dreams I’m working on fulfilling. Along with Paris fashion week. Hopefully one day ……

Hello.
16/08/2013

Just a quick hello- I’ve not posted in nearly a week! I’m missing my blog but its been a really busy week for me. I’ve got a lovely post coming up- hopefully by tomorrow. Some new season pieces…
I’ve added a quick pic from my Instagram and you can see a few more from my week here. This one was a double filtered pic and I think it has an old Hollywood feel to it. I’ve gone for Glam glossy nails – in a burgundy which I know you can’t see properly here but they give a very glamorous feel to the image. Hope your all enjoying the summer xxx Dawn
(I’ve had to post this via iPhone – first time I’ve ever done it – quite useful but it doesn’t size the image correctly !! So apologises for any mistakes)

Early evening is certainly my favourite time of day-people and temperatures start relaxing a things feel a lot less hectic. Kept things to a minimum today. It’s definitely easier that way. It’s such a problem when the weather gets hot here in the UK- we always seem so unprepared for it. Lack of outdoor swimming pools, beach clubs and dining areas makes things harder. Certainly not complaining, well apart from yesterday when I was in London. It was so hot around oxford street that I was glad to leave- that’s a first for me. I usually love visiting London.
I’m not one to sit in the sun. I enjoy the ease of living the weather brings-like not having to worry about getting rained on etc. The only worry I guess is protecting your skin. I bought some great beauty products recently. I’ve been using the una brennan brand for some time now and love trying the different ranges. I’ve got a new vit c skin brightener which include a protector. I know we don’t have an incredible amount of sunshine or vit d and it’s good to soak up the rays but we should still be aware of the dangers of the sun. It’s always good to look after your skin.
