Head-to-toe in black. Bringing in lots of great textures with soft leathers, suede fringing and frill collars.A sophisticated but edgy look. I did wonder if I would wear this leather skirt as much as I do. But It’s actually been a great addition to my wardrobe. A definite wardrobe staple for me this year. Perfect for both day and night.I think adding these fringed sandals to it for a going-out look works really well. I tried the blouse tied up and worn loosely for a more at ease look. There are so many ways to style this look.
Have a great weekend and I’ll see you next week. Oh I almost forget.. I posted a youtube video up..? You can see it here.. give me a thumbs up or leave me a comment over there. Lots of love

Perfect weather for cut off denim’s. Dressed them up with tailored blazer and silky vest. I’m most comfortable in flats lately. So easy for running around. Metallic shoes are a favourite of mine. Great with a tan too. I had a day in the garden which was novel. I rarely sit in the sun. I’m a safe tanner, using fake tan mostly. Though I do love a little sun kissed glow. It’s also good to soak up some vit D. Brought my oversized Miu Miu handbag out of the closet recently. I love throwing everything inside and still having room for plenty more. I’m a bit of a Mary poppins with it…well having three kids you gotta be.
I headed to London this past weekend to celebrate mine and my sisters birthday. We started with afternoon tea at the Corinthea hotel. Such a pretty place. A stones throw from downing street and the embankment, where buildings stand handsomely above the tiny people and streets below. You can’t help be a little impressed by our heritage, and by those who came before us to of given so much.
Inside the hotel was just as impressive, twinkling lights and delicate decorations are everywhere. A magnificent chandelier commandeers the main room where we sat for tea. Lots of lovely cakes and sandwiches served with glasses of champagne. How can you not love the grandeur of it all. Think I ate far too much and took several hours to recover before heading out for birthday drinks and dancing.
Another treat of the day was getting full makeup done at the Charlotte Tilbury counter in selfridges. I love her make-up and really wanted to try out some of the pieces I had read about. I wasn’t disappointed. Loved every product they used. You can see my look on instagram here. I bought a couple of pieces but will have to stop self gifting and hope santa brings me a few more next week.
I went with full length coat high heels and jeans for my outing. Doubled up on warmth with a poncho underneath and a lace cami for the finer details.
I was recently talking about wearing bare legs in winter. I like the trend and as long as its not completely freezing it’s perfectly acceptable. It’s also fine if its teamed with something that covers you up- possibly a big coat thats oversized and fluffy. For me this peachy faux fur seemed the perfect solution. I wore it with this gorgeous floral alice + olivia mini skirt. It was love at first sight. It’s shiny luxe appeal drew me in insantly. An Extravagant addition to my winter wardrobe. I will also be wearing my skirts with tights and boots for deeper winter but for now I’ll take full advantage of glowing autumn days and brave it out in bare legs.
It was hard to resist indulging in this vintage style fur. Yes it’s the unreal fur coat from my previous post. The rich autumnal tones matched the autumn falling leaves. I found myself wearing it throughout the day. It’s so lightweight and comfortable it was hard to take it off. Love it here with my all black look. For this outfit I wanted to keep everything sleek underneath, so the main focus was on the coat itself. I love the length as it covers all the right places and keeps everything looking neat. Its a luxurious daytime indulgence especially with the different textures of the boots and pants. The patent boots I’ve had for years but I always like to wear them to add a little shiny glam. I like the fact the key pieces pop out at you.
