The unexpected colour for Autumn.. these warm nudes. This has to be one of my favourite palettes. I’m not so worried about dressing too heavy as the weather is still so mild and days are still pretty and bright. Finding these delicate natural tones makes dressing for winter that little more exciting. Something different to the usual heavy colours. Bulking up on tonal works well for an autumnal look. I’ve added in a little animal print with my shoes to break the look up a little but they still work in well with the nude pallet. You could go with something more neutral on the feet to have a complete head to toe nude look. Something soft and gentle like these keep your autumn look fresh and exciting. Nothing too harsh just yet. The warm autumn makes living and dressing that little bit easier. The clocks have gone back which means dark nights are upon us… not something I like too much. Any excuse to get away with pretty colours and gorgeous dresses and I’m right there. Have a super week. xx Dawn
A flying visit to London this week for a few nice events. I saw lots of preparations for the festive season whilst there.It hit me that christmas is actually not that far away. The weeks go by so fast that it will be here before we know it. So I thought it the perfect excuse to take a few pics of my outfit with a little gift inspo too. It’s so hard to know what to buy year after year. Sometimes it’s a gift to take to a party or just to say ‘thank you for being there’ or to say ‘I love you’. This pretty boxed champagne seems to solve a few of ‘what to buy’ dilemmas. There are lots to choose from, food and beauty. I’ve no idea what to put on the list this year but I know I’d love to receive a beautiful selfridges hamperof goodies. It’s something I would never buy for myself so I guess that counts as a treat!! Going softly in pink and creams lately.I love this soft pallet. With the weather being so mild it’s been the perfect excuse to indulge in these soft nudes. I found myself going from on extreme to the next. I’m either top to toe in black or head to toe in these delicate tones. I love both looks. But it seems appropraite to still wear these deleicate colours with such pretty autumn days.

September is turning out to be the best month yet!! It’s always been my favourite month of the year. I love the late summer sun. The lighting is always so pretty too. Fresh crisp days.Taking full advantage of the great weather and wearing a little mini skirt and heels. The jacket I had back 10 years ago as a gift. I still love it… it’s a timeless piece that I pull out of the wardrobe and never fails to look smart.Florals with block colours always work well. Mix and match with denims, prints and more.. another great wardrobe staple. (check out the pieces I’ve put together below) I’ve always been a lover of the deeper shades of red/burgundy. Such a great colour for fall.
A few weekend accessories. My favourite make up pieces and easy flats for a little weekend ease. Added glamour with a pair of dropped earrings and bracelet. A hat is always useful for a bad hair day or just to finish an outfit. Chic weekend dressing . I had to include the makeup as these are two of my favourite additions to my make up bag. The new tom ford primer in peach makes skin look even and clear and worn with the highlighter skin looks translucent and fresh.
