September is turning out to be the best month yet!! It’s always been my favourite month of the year. I love the late summer sun. The lighting is always so pretty too. Fresh crisp days.Taking full advantage of the great weather and wearing a little mini skirt and heels. The jacket I had back 10 years ago as a gift. I still love it… it’s a timeless piece that I pull out of the wardrobe and never fails to look smart.Florals with block colours always work well. Mix and match with denims, prints and more.. another great wardrobe staple. (check out the pieces I’ve put together below) I’ve always been a lover of the deeper shades of red/burgundy. Such a great colour for fall.
More of everything. Suede, fringing chains. Cut out tops and ruffled layered skirts. More is definitely more. I love the knee highs and mini skirt combo.I think it’s becoming one of my favourite looks for autumn. Turtle necks are also classic staple pieces for autumn. I love the cut out detailing. Gives a little edge to a pretty skirt. I got the skirt back in the summer but not had a chance to wear it until now. It’s great as it’s lovely with boots, heels and sandals. I love versatility in an outfit and these great pieces are some of my favourites. Either piled on together or worn as a statement piece in itself. Great pieces with fab detailing are a must to add a little glamour to your wardrobe. Dawn

A little weekend dressing inspiration. I posted this look over on nstagram few weeks ago but only just got around to blogging it here. I have an obsession with coats and jackets this time of year. With so many to chose from it becomes a bit of an issue which one to buy. With such long winters and so many different occasions to wear them, one is never enough. I love these long easy dressing kind. Perfect for layering. Soft and comfortable is the key when dressing for autumn/winter.The high street is a great place to buy these types of coats. Not spending hundreds of pounds on just one means you can buy more to suit your purpose/occasion. Have a great sunday xx Dawn
Easy weekend dressing for coffee catch ups and window browsing. Wore this simple jeans and sandals combo for a laid back saturday. Love the colour combo with gold, red and cream. Added a beige sunglass instead of my usual heavy black rims. Hope you had a great weekend. We’ve hit August already.. can’t believe how quick this year has gone. And it seems as thou the sun is going to continue to allude us. Thankful for the odd summers day here and there. But in reality I’ve worn none of my summer clothes. It’s particularly boring for the kids summer hols. It’s such a shame that the weathers no good as the coast is only a short drive away. No such luck to have lazy summer days at the beach.
Well it’s been a little up and down. But it’s definitely warmed up and feeling a lot more like summer. I’m very happy to feel the heat and at last bring out my shorts and easy breezy flimsy tops. I’ve mixed up my textures here with this chiffon top, denim shorts, studded sandals and fringed bag. A little boho mash up. But I love the ease of summer days. It’s the perfect time to relax with our style and enjoy wearing all our favourite pretty pieces. Wrapping up most of the year takes it’s toll on the skin so I aways give myself a natural looking glowwith a brush of fake tan. I hope your enjoying the summer style that the heatwave brings. Have a great weekend. xx Dawn
