Not been actively posting too much lately. It’s been a difficult start to the year. It’s hard to get focused when so much is going on. Having lost two members of my family in the short space of time and for lots of other things to go the complete opposite of the way you planned. Is hard to shift the mood. I’m not one to go to deep and personal on my social but this is real life and this is what we all face day to day. It’s never easy. And when you loose people in your family circle it takes time to adjust and refocus.
Throwing myself into fashion has always been a good way of coping for me. This time I did need a little head space before taking pics and posting blogs. I’m really looking forward to Spring and the long light nights of summer. I tried a few summer pieces on that I just couldn’t get in the mood for purely because of the bad weather we are still having here in the UK. It’s hard to try pretty tops and dresses on when it’s still so cold and miserable outside. It is such a good time to pick up pretty things for the summer wardrobe but like I said it can be hard to get your head into that place after such a long time wrapped up for winter.
So on another note this is my outfit from the weekend. Putting a few classics together for a laid back look. Classic black and gold with a suede mack worked pretty well for me. I love the high waist jeans too. Sometimes they can make you look bigger around the hips and belly but who cares really hahah. It’s all about being happy and dressing how you want. At the end of the day there are no rules as long as your happy tHat’s all that matters.
I was wearing Coat, Topshop Shoes, Gianvintto Rossi Handbag, YSL & Here Shirt, H&M Jeans, H&M
When summer goes the wrong way and the shorts are thrown aside for something a little warmer. Cue the cord coat. Keeping it soft and summery beneath in cream jeans and blouse. I love camel and cream combo and looking on the bright side of a wet cold summer I get to indulge in a little transitional dressing. Surely it’s not that time already, to be thinking Autumn coats etc etc. Well not just yet. But the weather has been so bad lately I couldn’t resit. Not that I ever want to give in and accept we may never get a decent summer.I literally hate winter. I don’t even feel like I’ve done any summer dressing. I guess I’ll have to ave that for my holidays.I can be sure I won’t be needing to pack this in my case. But sadly I’m sure it’ll be number one on the wear list before too long. Have a great weekend. And hopefully by tomorrow, I’ll have my shorts back out!! Dawn xx
PS If your interested in purchasing the coat I’d go for a size smaller as it comes up quite big.
It’s here at last.Today I’m happy to be celebrating the launch of the new dress collection at Stylistpick. To help with the launch I’ve been asked by stylistpick to choose seven dresses from their new collection to undertake a seven days, seven dresses challenge. You can see all my chosen looks updated live and daily on the stylistpick live feed here for the next seven days. Today I’m wearing this carnation blue print and white band dress by closet
Wearing a dress a day is very different to my usual attire as I rarely wear them on a day-to-day basis, that is until now! I have to say I’m a little bit smitten with this collection. It’s a great change and a perfect choice for summer. I thought this dress was to be my favourite but then I tried on the others and felt the same about everyone of them… All the dresses can be found online today on stylistpick.
