Not been actively posting too much lately. It’s been a difficult start to the year. It’s hard to get focused when so much is going on. Having lost two members of my family in the short space of time and for lots of other things to go the complete opposite of the way you planned. Is hard to shift the mood. I’m not one to go to deep and personal on my social but this is real life and this is what we all face day to day. It’s never easy. And when you loose people in your family circle it takes time to adjust and refocus.
Throwing myself into fashion has always been a good way of coping for me. This time I did need a little head space before taking pics and posting blogs. I’m really looking forward to Spring and the long light nights of summer. I tried a few summer pieces on that I just couldn’t get in the mood for purely because of the bad weather we are still having here in the UK. It’s hard to try pretty tops and dresses on when it’s still so cold and miserable outside. It is such a good time to pick up pretty things for the summer wardrobe but like I said it can be hard to get your head into that place after such a long time wrapped up for winter.
So on another note this is my outfit from the weekend. Putting a few classics together for a laid back look. Classic black and gold with a suede mack worked pretty well for me. I love the high waist jeans too. Sometimes they can make you look bigger around the hips and belly but who cares really hahah. It’s all about being happy and dressing how you want. At the end of the day there are no rules as long as your happy tHat’s all that matters.
It’s that time of year again.A chance to grab a bargain for the christmas shop. Beauty products, beautiful accessories ans more. I’ve added lots of lovely links here to make things a little easier for you. I’ve so many favourites. Fingers crossed I get a few for Christmas.
Happy shopping guys xx Dawn
Slight obsession with the military loo this Autumn. It’s a pretty straight forward look but with gold buttons and knee high boots it can be a easy way to everyday chic. Having timeless pieces are always a good investment. Wearing or using something most days is value for money. I try to be good and not over buy. I really try not to buy things I love but would never wear. I’ve done so much of that in the past. It looks beautiful on the hanger or I love the idea of wearing it but the reality is it stays on the hanger I and it never becomes a piece I would be able to use or wear.
Lace X Print x Scallops X Studs. It’s all in the detail. My summer time dressing includes so many lovely details without realising it. Sometimes we don’t even stop to look at what we have put together. It’s not until you actually stop for a minute and analyse what your wearing or in my case when I sit down to write about it, that you actually see all the things you love about what your wearing. I obviously have a huge love of lace. It’s one of my favourites. I think I already told you that.Ha ha .
The studded sandals are also a fav of mine and my new love happens to be these scalloped shorts. Putting things together in a wearable way can seem daunting but you can’t go too wrong if you wear the things you love.
I love lace so much I’ve had to double up on it. No matter what colour, lace plays a major part in my wardrobe. Summer is the perfect time to exploit such a love. Layering piece on top of piece is a pretty look. Delicate pieces that compliment each other is the best way to go. I find things that have lace detailing like this cami and cardigan great for an everlasting look. It never seems to be wrong when you wear lace. Day or night. I love wearing day wear that looks like night wear. Lingerie style dressing. ‘Should you be wearing that in the day’.. kinda theme. It’s still pretty chilly on days so layering is still a major part of dressing at the moment. I really can’t wait to leave the house without a coat. I’m looking forward to a warm weekend..the prediction is it’s to be warmer then Ibiza. Fingers crossed. I had better start preparing the skin for some day ligt exposure. Have a wonderful weekend.
