More of everything. Suede, fringing chains. Cut out tops and ruffled layered skirts. More is definitely more. I love the knee highs and mini skirt combo.I think it’s becoming one of my favourite looks for autumn. Turtle necks are also classic staple pieces for autumn. I love the cut out detailing. Gives a little edge to a pretty skirt. I got the skirt back in the summer but not had a chance to wear it until now. It’s great as it’s lovely with boots, heels and sandals. I love versatility in an outfit and these great pieces are some of my favourites. Either piled on together or worn as a statement piece in itself. Great pieces with fab detailing are a must to add a little glamour to your wardrobe. Dawn

I’m totally in love with these camel shades. Such a great colour for all seasons and one which can be paired with pretty much any other colour. The perfect staple piece has to be a camel trench/jacket/coat. I love them all. Transitional pieces are the things to look out for now. Pieces that will carry you through the next seasons. These trench style coats are great for that purpose. Layering them is also a good idea. You can always wear one under a heavy coat in the deep winter. Not that I like to think too much about cold days…..especially when we are still waiting for summer to reach us here in Wales.
Easy weekend dressing for coffee catch ups and window browsing. Wore this simple jeans and sandals combo for a laid back saturday. Love the colour combo with gold, red and cream. Added a beige sunglass instead of my usual heavy black rims. Hope you had a great weekend. We’ve hit August already.. can’t believe how quick this year has gone. And it seems as thou the sun is going to continue to allude us. Thankful for the odd summers day here and there. But in reality I’ve worn none of my summer clothes. It’s particularly boring for the kids summer hols. It’s such a shame that the weathers no good as the coast is only a short drive away. No such luck to have lazy summer days at the beach.
My saturday afternoon dressing in crisp white. A bit risky with three children about but it’s irresistible on warm sunny days. It’s clean, fresh look is always a winner for summer. There’s nothing nicer then when it’s a new white too.. it’s like a crisp white shirt. There’s something classy and cool about it. A white blouse/shirt is a staple piece for any wardrobe. I’ve gone for a slouchy look with my off the shoulder number, a soft pair of lace trimmed shorts and my old favourite nude sandals.Nothing too complicated. Simple saturday dressing. Happy sunday xx Dawn
I was wearing Dress, H&M Trend (something similar here & here) Belt, H&M sandals, Valentino
Total love for this gorgeous grecian style maxi dress. I love how the gentle weight of the fabric is barely clinging to the thin straps, as it drops over the body to the floor. Creating a beautiful silhouette. I’ve belted it here and added gladiator studded sandals for full grecian goddess effect. Something like this dress is great for dressing up. I could add bangles, cuffs, chunky necklace etc etc… the list goes on. Or you can keep it really simple and just add a belt or nothing at all. Throw it on,on a summers evening, beach party, dinner out, heels, flats.. I think it’s obvious that I’m trying to say it’s a great piece for summer. Strong colours have been every where this season. Sometimes it’s hard to imagine wearing them in the summer months and I have been going back to traditional neutrals. But I do think this mustard/gold is just perfect for summer. All we need now is some hot weather to be able to wear all these gorgeous pieces. xx Dawn
