AFTERNOON TEA
16/12/2013

I headed to London this past weekend to celebrate mine and my sisters birthday. We started with afternoon tea at the Corinthea hotel. Such a pretty place. A stones throw from downing street and the embankment, where buildings stand handsomely above the tiny people and streets below. You can’t help be a little impressed by our heritage, and by those who came before us to of given so much.
Inside the hotel was just as impressive, twinkling lights and delicate decorations are everywhere. A magnificent chandelier commandeers the main room where we sat for tea. Lots of lovely cakes and sandwiches served with glasses of champagne. How can you not love the grandeur of it all. Think I ate far too much and took several hours to recover before heading out for birthday drinks and dancing.
Another treat of the day was getting full makeup done at the Charlotte Tilbury counter in selfridges. I love her make-up and really wanted to try out some of the pieces I had read about. I wasn’t disappointed. Loved every product they used. You can see my look on instagram here. I bought a couple of pieces but will have to stop self gifting and hope santa brings me a few more next week.
I went with full length coat high heels and jeans for my outing. Doubled up on warmth with a poncho underneath and a lace cami for the finer details.

Just a quick post to say hello and hope your having a good week. I’ve been super busy preparing for christmas. Having three children and trying to fit everything in proves difficult at times. I’ve not been able to get out and do outfit photos so here are a few pictures from my instagram.
It’s been a mix of party wear and day to day dressing with a few glam bits and bobs in between. Sporting baby pink nails, leopard prints, gold watches, rockstud heels and dramatic red lace dresses. Christmas tree shopping and cocktail sipping … the amount we can fit into a week.
Lots of love Dawn xx
EDIT:THE CHRISTMAS JUMPER
28/11/2013
Lots of us will be having a little fun this year and wearing the christmas jumper. Some even having to wear them as a requirement for christmas work parties, others on fun nights out. Also great to sit around the table on christmas day or just for the general joviality of the festive season. I’ve put together a selection of great jumpers from the high street with a few designers thrown in. There are so many to choose from this year.. do you have a favourite?
#DRESSMAS
25/11/2013

I’ve a little soft spot for red lately. I was lucky enough to choose this little number from the boohoo range to wear for their #dressmas competition that’s taking place right now over on instagram. Your chance to win £500 to spend. All you have to do is snap yourself in a boohoo outfit, tag it with #dressmas and mention @boohoo.
As you know I’ve got a thing for lace and this dress reminded me of one I loved and blogged about a few years ago. It was by Erdem and very expensive. I bought one similar in cream from the high street a year ago but I’ve never seen one in red until now. Valentino has also just shown a whole collection of red including lots of beautiful red lace dresses to celebrate the opening of his flagship store in shanghai. So this dress is a defo for me and this party season. Love at first sight. Wore mine here with baby pink Valentino heels and neutral celine bag.

ROCKSTUD
23/11/2013

I’ve picked them up, tried them on, debated about the colours, but never gone through with buying a pair of the Valentino rockstuds. That is until now.I saw these gorgeous pink on pink colour combo with gold hard ware and instantly knew it was time to get myself a pair.
Yesterdays blue skies and sunshine brought them out on their first outing. Do love finding the ultimate pair of shoes. I’ve been quite good this year and bought mainly from the high street but it’s my birthday in a few weeks so thought it the perfect time to indulge …
Wore an old pair of sass and bide jeans.Do love the bleached out look. Especially good with simple white tee. Added a little glamour with pale pink jewelled earrings and kept the cold out in chunky over sized cardigan.
Have a great weekend xx D
