Went kind of tribal in this long line cardigan, suede shorts and studded sandals. I put soft peachy nudes together with something stronger in colour thrown over. I love these long cardigans. Perfect for days that turn a little chilly. I also like wearing them with something non bulky under neath and belted at the waist- layer it up with sheers and chiffon fabrics. It’s good to have versatile pieces in the wardrobe to mix and match with everything else you have. I hope your all having a great summer. It’s been pretty good here in the UK. Being able to enjoy long warm evenings is a real love of mine. Saying that I’ve been sat here writing this with the rain pounding down … fingers crossed it clears up to a lovely evening. xx Dawn
Playing with textures is always good. Here I’m wearing leather, lace and silk. Soft feminine pastels and fabrics with tough heavy duty leather.
I’m pretty obsessed with the Burberry SS14 Collection of lace skirts and embellishments. So when I spotted this lace pencil skirt from the high street it was a must. Great to also dress down with a sweater or to smarten up with a blazer.
It’s so nice to enjoy wearing something a little different then winter boots and coats. Hope this weather lasts. Can’t wait for warm summer days and lazy wearing of shorts and sandals.
I managed to get my hands on a few Isable Marnt for H&M pieces. These sequin leggings being one of them. Feel a little like a mermaid with the incandescent sequins. I added a soft silk cami, which is very delicate in comparison. The simple lines and lack of detail compliments the extravagant pants. Chain detail bag and shoes add to the whole look and add yet another twist to the story.
Two things I love about this cardigan-the colour and the silhoutte when styled this way. Decided to go it alone and wear nothing other then a belt. Wrapped across the bust and just enough flesh on show- it’s almost something Marylin Monroe would of been seen stepping out in, in the 50’s. I love the fact I can wear it like this or layered up. A cool forward purchase for a/w. I love seeing all the new arrivals coming into stores. Sales are great but I always get excited to see the new season colours and gain inspirations from designers. This is a perfect transitional piece. Not too much like winter but enough to wear when the days start to get a little chilly. I took full advantage of a cloudy day and stepped out to town in teal and burgundy. Hope you’vre had a great saturday. Dawn xx
I was wearing Acne cardigan KG shoes
Celine handbag Topshop Bracelets
M&S past seaon belt (something similar here)
Celine sunglasses
I was in London yesterday for a few meetings but mostly for the launch of sweaty betty’s #thefitcrowd. I’ve been lucky enough to be chosen along with a number of other amazing bloggers to work with sweaty betty and the fit crowd. A strong initiative to empower woman through fitness. What a fab invite and a great chance to check out the new collection, fill my basket with a choice of fitness attire and take part in a barrecore class-an amazing workout based on controlled movements that work isolated muscle groups rather then the hard heart pounding stuff. It Includes elegant ballet movements which I loved. A complete contrast to the stomping and jumping classes I used to do – a really femenine and rewarding workout!
Getting fit again has crossed my mind several times over the past few years but doing something about it hasn’t materialised.Purely through injury, not having the time and not wanting to push my body again. I think I’ve enjoyed the fact I haven’t had to train. So much so I forgot it’s actually about being strong and maintaining a healthy body rather then racing around a track as fast as you can. I really need to change my way of thinking and start to enjoy getting fit.Think of it as fun rather then pain- easier said then done when your head is spinning and all you want to do is throw up… it’s going be a battle for sure. Seriously the only excersise I’ve done has been chasing after 3 kids and running from shop to shop… watch this space!! So back to fashion here’s the outfit I wore for the evening I dressed in soft cream and whites and mostly in love with this over sized soft cocoon coat by topshop unique.
