London fashion week- Fall 2012

My last day at London fashion week started at Tower bridge for the Mary katrantzou catwalk show which was held at the topshop showspace, I’ve lots of pictures of the fashions displayed on the runway. I’m gonna have to get through them all. As soon as I do I’ll post them up.
After the Mary show I headed back to Somerset house to catch the David Koma and Holly fulton shows. My afternoon was then spent catching tubes across London to the white rabbit studio’s where my friend Claire Andrews was part of the Welsh collective show, very exciting as it was her first collection for London fashion week. I stopped for refreshments, a sneaky glass of blush and then it was back to the free masons hall to see the last few shows. I also managed to catch up with a few of my friends who had been walking the catwalks during the week. A whole day of fun…
For final day of fashion week I wore Acne jacket, Zara skirt, River island denim, topshop boots and Miu Miu bag.

The Savoy Story

The savoy played host to the Maria Grachvogel show on opening day of London fashion week. The clothes as sophisticated and elegant as the surrounds. The glamour of the woman shown in draped satin open back gowns, loosely hung blouses, slinky dresses and floor sweeping skirts. It was sexy, soft and alluring. Worn with strong edgy knee high boots and platform shoes the collection was given a modern day twist. Beautiful clothes for real woman, nothing sweet and girlie here, just strong defiant looks for woman to stand out in. Striking and luxurious with early 20th century inspired silhouettes the collection portrayed a fantasy from an era of real beauty. I loved this collection

Thought I’d add a few pics I took with my iphone from my night out after my day at fashion week yesterday. Headed back and decided to catch up with a few friends for drinks. Spoilt with big soft loungers and cocktails and a lovely driver I quite enjoyed myself haha.

Day One

First day at London fashion week started like something from a comic strip. What with a punctured tyre, fixed by a man in a van who luckily for me had also broken down. The realisation of my phone being left in my car as I was half way across london, laddered tights and caught up in a police blockage at Buckingham palace. I thought it was a no hoper. Thankfully the drama of the morning faded and the full swing of shows kicked in and the fun began.

Purity was my look for my first day at fashion week. I decided to go for easy tailoring with clean lines. I kept it simple and fresh with nude and flesh tones. Here I wore Zara jacket, boots and skirt, topshop bracelets and Miu Miu over sized clutch.

Wore this gorgeous gucci print jacket today. It’s one I’ve had several years, but it’s very similar to this seasons craze for the gucci print clash. I love the colour contrast on the collar and cuff and the fact the belt sits mid waist. I’ve added a quick shot of a few of the shows I’m attending in the next couple of days in london for fashion week.

Here are a few snaps from my past week. I’ve styled a woman who had won a competition with a local magazine. Her prize was to be re-styled by myself and pampered for the day. After choosing three outfits for her to model we were taken to the penthouse suite on the 21st floor of the radisson blu, a five star hotel with amazing views of Cardiff, spoilt with delicious food and drink and plenty of giggles…

Breakfast on a sunny morning, a visit to a florist displaying gorgeous valentine roses and a walk in the park…

These pictures were taken on my way out yesterday. I decided to stop down at the river as it actually runs past my house and through the town. Here I wore gold glitter block heeled boots from topshop with a few layered pieces from the high street. The boots I’ve been considering for a while but thought the glitter heel wasn’t for me. My curiosity got the better of me and I tried them them on with my jeans whilst I was in store the other day, I couldn’t resit getting them. The shape is perfect, not to low around ankle exposing too much bone and not to high to crop the leg. I’ve always been a denim and cowboy boot kinda girl ..

My outfit consisted of peaches and cream mixed with blue denim, a collection of bracelets I acquired over the past year and a chunk of gold thrown in for fun.

Great to see the sun shining. It’s still cold but it’s bright and dry makes me smile. Oh and another reason to be happy. I got something nice in the post. A few beauty treats and an invite to the Bora Aksu show for London Fashion week. I also got my press pass yesterday. It’s London time again !! Exciting….

Sheer nude

The prettiest skirt I bought last year but until the other day had not got round to wearing. You wouldn’t believe that since this picture was taken (friday) we’ve had snow and heavy ice. I’m glad I decided to wear it when I did as I don’t think I’ll get the chance again for a while ..it’s freezing here.

I love the colour and texture mix. The skirt is light and airy made up by layers of sheer nude tulle and adding denim makes it more wearable for day. .
