Last week I got the chance to meet the lovely Hershey Pascual at her photo shoot for Stylispick. After catching the 6am train to London and jumping on several tubes across London to the studio, I arrived a little bedraggled! My make-up was on major melt down and my hair taking on a life of it’s own! It wasn’t the best start to the day, especially when in the company of a complete doll! I might just get to an event in one piece one day…maybe??
Hershey launches her new collection with Stylispick next week and I got a sneak peek, I also got to chat to the lady herself. Her collection boasts classic pieces that take you from daytime to evening. Easy to wear twin sets, classic blouses and Chanel inspired over coats. Dreamy!
After speaking to Hershey it’s easy to adore her and her collection. Sweet and softly spoken it was great to hear a little about her passions and why she has chosen to start designing. After years of styling the famous and editing for glossy mags she felt it was time to share her experience in dressing others and give her expertise on clothes for the everyday woman. A natural progression for someone who knows about body shapes, what works and what could be improved about clothing. Coming from a hands on background always helps because you have a good feel for what works. I’m really looking forward to wearing her designs this A/W as well as next S/S where she promises to concentrate on beautiful outer wear… exciting!
Good luck Hershey with your new collection.
I mentioned the other day about a little giveaway I’m doing over on my twitter account with McArthurglen designer outlets. As well as that I’m also taking part in the ‘Art of Denim’ This is a promotion McArthurglen have just launched. They are offering discounts and lots of offers across six of their designer outlets. As well as all these offers you can take advantage of a alterations and monogramming service at denim hubs. A pretty cool idea. My challenge for the celebrations is customising two pieces of denim that I’ve been given by McArthurglen. This gorgeous levis denim jacket and skinn jeans by Guess. The items arrived in a cool trunk which also included studs, sewing kits and a few other pieces to help me customise the denim. I decided to go with the studs. I’ve added a studded pocket to the jeans, giving them a little punk. I also did the same studded detailing to the inside cuff of the denim jacket. I always fold my sleeves up, so I thought it would be a good idea to add something to the inside. I like the studs being exposed when the cuff is turned up. I think customising it this way helps to maintain a good denim piece without making it too obvious and It gives one jacket two looks. Doubling up on denim is a fave look of mine. You can pop along to any of the outlets and join in- make sure you tweet me your pictures of your fave denim outfit/piece to win £50 to spend at one of the outlets.
Look at me fashion at the Ashish show- sequin carrier bags were one of my faves but the coca cola vest won my affections.Fabulous.

HOLLY FULTON CATWALK SHOW S/S14- LFW
Loved the hair at the Holly Fulton show.Big,curly and worn to the side-I used to have hair just like this. Growing up with it was hard work but I’d love to have it back now.
THE IN-BETWEEN BITS
A little snippet from the company magazine lfw street style feature.
It was a busy, busy saturday at London fashion week this year. I’m posting a few pictures from the events. I actually missed a few presentations/shows due to traffic hold ups and me chatting too much. I did manage to squeeze in visiting the handpicked media team at the fabulous One aldwych hotel. It was hard to leave when high tea was served in the form of mini milkshakes and candy floss and deciding on beautiful jewellery from Anna lou of london. I also got my eyebrows fixed by the hd girls. And didn’t pass up on the chance to try on a few lovely coats from super dry either. I fell in love with one in particular from the new collection. Apart from all that lovely stuff, I did get to see the Holly Fulton show which was soft and romantic with beautiful hair to the side. The Ashish show which was a complete contrast with it’s urban glitz. Cool sequin carrier bags and torn to bits sequin jeans. The hair was striped with electric colours and worn loose and messy. Two completely different looks but loved them both equally. Thank you to everyone who invited me to shows/ events. I had a fabulous day.
