Well it’s not Paris that’s for sure. Where I should of been watching couture shows and fluttering around Parisian cafes. I’m sat here at home with a broken heart (over dramatised of course) but honestly I’m still in shock over not being able to get to Paris. It seems I’m jinxed when it comes to travelling or attending occasions! My flight was cancelled due to adverse weather!! If you watch my instastories you would of seen the thick fog that shrouded the airport and grounded flights. Such a shame to miss a wonderful opportunity. Hopefully get to make up for it and head over for fashion week. Still it’s left me feeling pretty glum.
And now instead of sitting in Paris I’m sat here in Cardiff in the sweet cafe that resembles something a little Parisian! I’ve wrapped up in this overly long cardigan which is so nice as it wraps around and keeps legs warm when wearing skirts. It’s a good transitional piece for spring and something I will wear all year round. I also love wearing something long over something short. Have a great week Dawn xx
I’m such a fan of pretty soft nudes. It’s refreshing to add be able to wear something light and pretty in the winter months. There’s no reason not to. Especially if you spend most of the day indoors. Brightening up a dull January day is number one priority. I’m still trying to get back into the swing of things since the Christmas break..
We are over a week into the new year and I’ve just heard we are to be expecting snow. And there’s me looking at the swimwear for summer. I should be looking at wellies and woolly coats. If you head over to my instagram you’ll see what I been buying in the sales. Let’s just say I’m preparing for the beach already….
The sales are a great time to start preparing for the summer months. You can pick up lots of sandals and swimsuits for nearly 80% off. It seems a little early but if your going away the beginning of the year then it’s perfect. There are things on sale that were on my wishlist back a few months ago. It really doesn’t bother me they’ll be a few months old as when I like something I’ll wear it regardless.
Happy New Year !! How’s your first week been..? I’ve found it really hard to get back into life after Christmas. It was such a lovely time. But it’s back to January and to save me from the blues I’ve been looking at a few new arrivals. Couldn’t resist the satin look. I bought it and wore it within 24 hours, that’s always a good sign. Nothing worse then buying something and it just sitting in your wardrobe for weeks/ months untouched.
I adore the vintage feel with its lace finishes and gorgeous gold colour. I put it on and felt okay about January .. even if it was just for a day. I wore it with these velvet rose detailed mules. Which I thought suited the look. These are one of my favourite additions from the sales. If you follow me over on Instagram you’ll know I was lusting after these for ages. I like the robe and slipper look I’ve achieved here. Something a little different and I think it’s a nice way to get ready for Spring Forever the hopeful … Ha ha
