Matthew Williamson-Lfw

Still smiling and it’s days later..why?? My Dream ticket to the Matthew Williamson catwalk show at london fashion week. Definitely one of the shows I’ve wanted to attend for as long as I can remember. I have always loved his designs. I used to buy lots from his earlier collections. I still have them and would never think about giving them up. I think pieces like that are hard to come by. His iconic prints, embellishment and detailing is exquisite. I’ve just started to enjoy him again after a few seasons where I wasn’t sure. His current A/W 13 collection caught my attention again and I think he’s back to his best. This S/S 14 collection caters for all dressing needs. Special dresses adorned with flowers and dragonflies in sexy sheer fabrics and cool tailored jackets and pants for an effortless cool approach. The collection still incapsulates his vision for a feminine and sexy woman but in a real and grown up way.Clothes that are wearable yet beautiful. I love the reality of the hand drawn prints- there’s something personal about it. Your wearing something that has come from within. Not just something computer has generated. It’s enjoying someone’s creative beauty.Nothing can replace that.Luxurious pieces with a laid back feel.
With such beauty inside the awful weather on the night was soon forgotten- nothing could spoil the evening for me. I wore Carven tulip skirt with a plaid Emma cook shirt and velvet ankle boots.I was so excited I could of burst.I also got to meet the fabulous Paloma faith who looked beautiful- a complete sweetheart.
