I’ve been using this amazing hairdryer from GHD recently. I have to admit I’m a little lazy when it comes to styling my hair. I’ve little patience and time especially in the mornings when I’m busy with the kids etc. Having had curly hair growing up I never really learnt to straighten it myself. I would always wake up and leave it. If I did style it, it would be just a matter of leaving it dry to form it’s natural curl. Now though I love my hair smooth and rarely wear it curly.
Learning to straighten it has been a long process. As well as finding the right products it’s also been about using the right technology ie hairdryers and straighteners. I have to say since I was given this hair dryer my life has been made that much easier. Like I said I was never one for fancy hair products but this has definitely changed my opinion. I would never really invest in expensive hair dryers. My mum was always telling me too but I never listened. She’s been going on about using this hairdryer for ages, so I was very happy to be given such a fab product to review.
This is light and easy to use. It smoothes hair with minimum effort. I even got a lovely finish using it with no fancy brush or products- it’s that good. Control is fantastic – it doesn’t blow your hair every where and it gives you a chance to work your hair instead of it being blown everywhere. For someone like myself who struggles to be patient-this works quickly with you. Easy to handle- doesn’t ruin other sections of hair whilst working on particular areas. In other words it has really good control. It enables you to concentrate on the parts one at a time. My children even enjoy using it as it drys the hair quickly and without any over burning sensation. I even rough dry my daughters hair with it and her hair falls beautifully. Definitely a great hair dryer and also a great gift for christmas. xx Dawn
I recently wore this look for my fashion week trip to London a few months ago. I still love the look and it’s very current for this winter. . It’s still one of my favourites. I love the nude and cream tones for this look too. Chunky, heavy or fine knits.. everything goes. I kept my look simple with a beige over the knee boot and similar tone sunnies and handbag. I’m making knitwear a huge factor in my winter wardrobe this year. It’s a simple way to keep warm and a great way to stay looking super chic in the cold.
I really like the ones I’ve chosen above. There a so many great pieces but these are my favourite. I hope you like them too.Have a great week. xx Dawn
Winter has certainly arrived. Constant rain and cold winds. Yuck the worst time of year for me. I’ve put together a little keeping warm edit with these 6 trends. What coat to buy is always a dilemma. I sometimes end up buying several throughout the year. It’s hard not too when there are so many great ones out there. There are coats for all occasions and there are coats for specifics . I always like the ones I can wear day in-day out. Something that looks good with everything. Or makes everything look good.Putting on a great coat sometimes means you don’t need to dress up underneath -relief. Not every days a good day so it’s nice to hide behind a great coat. I’ve kept it simple here with a few classics. Getting good use of my coat is one of my main pointers. Will it last and can I wear it year after year. Especially the point when spending lots of money on the staple piece. It’s without doubt the most important part of my winter wardrobe. Smart or casual. Either way I love the winter cover up.
Slightly obsessed with these gorgeous gold pieces. I’ve been generally browsing online as I do and came across these gorgeous golden items that I thought would make amazing christmas gifts. So excited that I put them togther in a little boutique style post.
Christmas is coming rather quickly and it’s definately time to start thinking about shopping for pressies ,well not just thinking but actually buying. An expensive and hectic time of year for sure.If your needing a little gifting inspo then try these high impact gift ideas. Presents with a WOW factor. I always love something sparkly and it seems this festive season anything gold goes. When things are coated in gold they seem that little more fabulous and luxurious, especially as gifts. Also tempting for a little self indulgence too.
Gold tone is high on my agenda this winter, not just as gifts but for dressing too. I’ll be putting together christmas outfit ideas for the coming party season too in the next week so keep checking in for something a little different. Wether it’s gold tone or the real deal I think something of this kind is a perfect gift idea. Happy shopping xx Dawn

I love these turtle neck dresses for Autumn. Easy to wear and pretty simple to dress up or down. It’s the perfect wear any where piece. Always good in classic black too. If I’m ever feeling an off day I always turn to trusty black to save the day. Having these quality pieces in the wardrobe is a good idea. Wear t with boots, shoes, sandals belted or with a simple denim or leather jacket.. in other words pretty much anything.
I’ve been a little slow on my posts recently. My computer blew up for one and my commitments with my children have taken full priority. They are growing so fast now and are so busy with sports and school work. The days off being able to sit at my computer for a few quiet hours is well and truly over. I post on Instagram pretty much daily. As it’s so quick and effortless. Plus I can link my outfits on there too with the liketoknow.it app. I pretty much use it for most of my pictures. A simple like and within minutes an email is sent with full ready to shop outfit details. If it’s not exact then it’s pretty similar. The weeks are flying by and I’m starting to prepar for christmas. I’ll be putting up a few gift guides etc when I get my computer full functional. I hate it wen technology goes wrong. You realise just how much you use and need it. Have a great week. Dawn x
I’m adding new colours to my Autumn wardrobe. I always like an all black look but I also love theses new season shades. The baby doll dress is a great piece for both day and night. This kind of look can be a fitting outfit for the day-to -Night dilemma. It’s something you can dress up for an evening look or to wear for something fun like shopping and lunch. Wear it any wear dressesare a key piece for any wardrobe.Current colours such as pinks and nudes keep your look fresh. The weathers been great so it’s the perfect excuse to go for something a little different and besides the lighter shades are great transitional pieces for the spring. Always the optimist !! Have a great week. Dawn xx
The unexpected colour for Autumn.. these warm nudes. This has to be one of my favourite palettes. I’m not so worried about dressing too heavy as the weather is still so mild and days are still pretty and bright. Finding these delicate natural tones makes dressing for winter that little more exciting. Something different to the usual heavy colours. Bulking up on tonal works well for an autumnal look. I’ve added in a little animal print with my shoes to break the look up a little but they still work in well with the nude pallet. You could go with something more neutral on the feet to have a complete head to toe nude look. Something soft and gentle like these keep your autumn look fresh and exciting. Nothing too harsh just yet. The warm autumn makes living and dressing that little bit easier. The clocks have gone back which means dark nights are upon us… not something I like too much. Any excuse to get away with pretty colours and gorgeous dresses and I’m right there. Have a super week. xx Dawn
